The Madison County Office for the Aging has various medical equipment available to lend to seniors (60 years of age or older) who reside in Madison county.   For example:  canes, bed-side commode, walkers, grab bars, shower/bath chairs, etc.  If you are in need of any such equipment, please call MCOFA to ask if we have what you’re looking for. 

Then it’s just a matter of  making arrangements to pick up the equipment from the main office in Canastota.  Once an “equipment disclaimer” in signed the equipment is yours to use for as long you need it.   We do ask that you treat the equipment kindly and return it to us once it’s no longer needed.

There is no charge for the equipment loaned, however a suggested contribution of $10 is greatly appreciated and is used to repair equipment already in stock or purchase additional equipment.  No one will ever be denied equipment or refused assistance through any program, due to inability to pay.
