Madison County Office for the Aging helps older adults and their caregivers live with dignity by providing access to a variety of home and community-based services. Our unique value proposition is that we understand how aging can affect an individual's ability to stay in their current living situation, so we strive to maximize independence for our clients by offering cost-effective non-medical support services tailored to meet each person’s needs.

⭐⭐Case Manager ⭐⭐                         

The position requires travel throughout Madison County, working directly with individuals over 60 or their delegates. The selected candidate must possess knowledge of the characteristics, needs and interests of the aging, in addition to a knowledge of community agencies, facilities and services which can be utilized to aid the elderly. Must possess a bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience in community organization or in the field of aging or an associate degree with four years’ experience in community organization or in the field of aging.  Computer skills necessary. Valid NYS driver’s license is required. 


The selected candidate would work Monday thru Friday.  This is a 40 hour per week position.  Pay is $43,000 annually. Benefit package includes health insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k)-retirement plan.

⭐⭐Dietitian⭐⭐

Madison County Office for the Aging is hiring a Dietitian to work in their Canastota office.  The Dietitian shall serve in the capacity of a consulting dietitian on the premises of the nutrition sites and the central kitchen within Madison County for the purpose of assuring compliance with rules and regulations applicable to the Title III-C and WIN funded nutrition program. 


Specific duties include but are not limited to the following: The selected candidate would be responsible for creating, reviewing and approving menus, evaluating and monitoring nutrition sites for compliance with necessary sanitary standards required by the New York State Health Department and providing periodic in service as needed.  The candidate will monitor home delivered meal routes for temperatures and delivery times, provide a nutrition education plan at each meal site 6 times per year; group discussions, lectures; individual counseling may be used at your discretion to provide this service.  


Minimum qualifications: Possession of valid NYS certification as Dietician/Nutritionist. Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents to grant degrees with a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in food and nutrition and registration or eligibility for registration by the American Dietetic Association. 


Please note, the minimum qualifications for this position are mandated under Section 700.2 of New York State Health Rules and Regulations. Pay is contractual and hours are flexible.

Stronger Together Parkinson's Support Group

Empower Parkinson Stronger Together Parkinson Support Group meets at MCOFA the 4th Tuesday of every month from 1-3:30pm.  

Group meetings are for Individuals with Parkinson's Disease and their Care Partners.

The Dine-Out program is a great way for older adults (age 60 and older) who normally would not be able to afford eating out to have the opportunity to enjoy the social experience at our local participating restaurants.


The Dine-Out program is part of our SNACK Congregate Site program.  To get more information about the Congregate program, look in Services under the nutrition programs or call 315-697-5700
